SakaDawa Tara & Venus

Sun in Gemini ~ Moon in Pisces

At the end of Spring in the North and Autumn in the South, Luna is in her deeply feminine ‘wisdom’ phase of the waning Sakadawa moon, as we now head into the core of eclipse season and a Solstice Solar Eclipse that will also help to continue generating a kind heart and loving compassion. During this eclipse Spirit and Soul unite to bring wisdom and compassion together at a world point, at the Solstice Sun’s turning point, as an aid to raise Bodhicitta – the sublime essence with which we can assuage the world’s woes.

At the same time Venus is now a morning star, emerging into her brand new 8-year cycle. She is also conjunct the eye of the Bull, Fixed Star ‘Aldaberan’, indicating beauty and love is at the heart of all she sees.

In Tibetan Astrology it is the Great Mother Goddess Liberator, Tara, who is associated with planet Venus. And as Venus-Tara is entering her new phase, unfolding like a rose each new petal, delicate yet strong, boldly revealing the tender bloom of our heart’s delight. We now leave this half of the year to reach Solar standstill, June 21st, with the aid of the Goddess to synthesise the intense events of the past few months and weeks. Supplications to the Goddess can even bring about a speedy healing and restore hope and faith. 💚🙏🖤🌗🌹

Green Tara’s mantra:

“Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha”

With many thanks to unknown artist for beautiful Thangka of Tara 💚🙏🖤🌗🌹

“Just as a bird needs two wings to fly, a practitioner must cultivate the two wings of compassion and wisdom. If one wing is missing, it will be impossible to fly on the path to enlightenment.” ~ Chamtrul Rinpoche
